Meet Aneta Zima
Compassionate care. A whole-person perspective.
PMHNP-C, MSN, FPA, AAPRN, FNP-C
A dual-board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, with a primary practice focus on mental health care in Illinois.

Why this work matters
Care begins with understanding.
Aneta’s commitment to mental health care is shaped in part by her own childhood experience with a serious illness and extended hospitalization. She came to understand how closely emotional well-being connects to healing, and how illness affects both patients and families.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she cared for people across the lifespan and developed a strong understanding of the relationship between physical health, emotional well-being, and quality of life. That experience led her to pursue advanced education and board certification in psychiatric mental health.
“Every person has a unique story. Effective treatment should never be one-size-fits-all.”
PMHNP-C, MSN, FPA, AAPRN, FNP-C

Her approach
Evidence-informed. Collaborative. Individualized.
Aneta believes mental health care should begin with listening. She takes time to understand each person’s concerns, experiences, strengths, and goals, then works with them to shape a plan.
Depending on individual needs, care may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy-informed interventions, psychoeducation, and lifestyle strategies. Medication can be one useful tool within a broader approach to well-being.
A safe place to begin.
Your story matters. You don’t have to navigate the journey alone.
